In an industry comprised of a variety of areas and types of employment, versatility is vital. The Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Administration program provides students with the flexibility required to embark on sporting careers in their chosen field.
The program gives graduates a foundation on which they can continue to build the skills and attributes appropriate for professional sports coaches and administrators.
The degree helps students develop the coaching, administration and professional skills necessary for a fulfilling career in sport. It educates students in modern coaching and conditioning techniques and how to manage the increasing political, legislative and administrative complexities of sport.
The Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Administration can be completed with three years of full-time study. A maximum of eight years is allowed for students to complete the degree part-time. The degree program is divided into six semesters, each of 12 weeks teaching duration. Study involves approximately 16 contact hours a week excluding examination and study weeks.
The Associate Degree follows a similar format over a two year period.
