Fees

In 2010, the tuition fee will be $8,240.00 per semester.  There are two semesters per year.
Full fee students at the ACPE  are NOT  eligible to receive HECS (the Higher Education Contribution Scheme fee). However, the College is accredited as a Higher Education Provider (HEP) by the Commonwealth Government, which allows eligible ACPE students to access FEE-HELP. Several other financial assistance packages are available to assist students throughout their period of study.

The options include:

FEE-HELP

FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists eligible students to pay their tuition fees. The Australian Government pays the amount of the loan directly to the students higher education provider, in this case ACPE. Students repay their loan through the Australian taxation system once their income is above the minimum threshold for compulsory repayment. Additional information about the FEE-HELP loan scheme is available from the Government web site  www.goingtouni.gov.au. Specific information about FEE-HELP and its Administration at ACPE is available from the Policies and Procedures section of College's web site.  The FEE-HELP Assistance Application Form and a hard copy of the Government's FEE-HELP information booklet can be obtained from the College.

ACPE Easy Payment Plan

Allows for each semester's fee to be paid in three easy instalments (on enrolment, week seven and week twelve). The payment plan is only available to those students who pay fees directly to ACPE. Students who access FEE-HELP are not eligible for the easy payment plan.

Tertiary Student Package (TSP) Deferred Repayment Loan Scheme

The loan is available to permanent Australian residents enrolled in full time study and is to be used for study related purposes only.  The minimum borrowing is $2,000.  First year students are permitted to borrow a maximum of $10,000.  Second year students can increase their borrowing to a maximum of $20,000.

Loan repayments may be deferred for a maximum of five years whilst you complete your studies.

Once you have finished studying, the loan is to be repaid in three years, starting three months after completion of study. The same repayment obligations apply if the five year deferral period expires. Interest starts accruing and the five year maximum payment deferral period commences when funds are disbursed. The loan is offered by the National Australia Bank. Please contact the NAB (13 2265) for more information or visit the NAB website (http://www.nab.com.au/Personal_Finance/0,,9113,00.html) .

Centrelink payments while you're studying

Local students may qualify for Centrelink support payments while studying at ACPE. Students normally are required to be Australian residents and enrolled in at least 75% of the normal full-time study load.  Further information on Centrelink support payments while studying can be obtained from Centrelink or by phoning the Centrelink national telephone number for inquiries 13 24 90.
