The ACPE eBook Collection
Overview
The ACPE Librarys eBook Collection has been developed to support remote access to critical resources on a 24/7 basis. In addition, many of our ebooks allow multiple, simultaneous users, thus maximising access to specific titles during periods of heavy usage.
Most ebooks have individual entries in the Library catalogue similar to printed books. These can be accessed by title, author, subject or keyword searching. To view a list of all the Librarys ebooks, enter ebook as a keyword search.
Some ebooks and reports are available as free web-based resources. Clicking on the URL for these works will direct the user to the document on the web, however the majority of the ACPEs eBook Collection is subscription based and requires users to login using their ACPE network login.
Copyright
eBooks are covered by copyright legislation in the same way as printed books and excessive downloading/printing is not permitted. Printing from an EBL ebook is usually set at 20%, however publishers determine the amount of a specific text which can be copied.
eBook suppliers monitor excessive copying and an onscreen message will warn the user concerned. Notification is also sent to Library staff.
