The fun times keep rolling at ACPE

ACPE understands that there is more to life than just academics, which is why they provide a range of extra-curricular programs. Students will get the opportunity to take on leadership roles and have greater input into decisions relating to students needs, while establishing strong links within the student body. Students of all ages are invited to participate in the following ACPE programs:

  • ACPE Ambassador Program (open to all students): This program provides students with networking and event management experience, by assisting the marketing department at career expo's and in promoting ACPE at community events.

  • ACPE Cultural Experience Program (open to all students): The current ACPE Cultural Program incorporates volunteering and teaching PHE programs with the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF). Each November a group of passionate students will travel to Cambodia in order to share their skills with local children. In previous years students have also travelled to Papua New Guinea with Canterbury Bulldogs representatives as part of a community program. • ACPE Dance Company (auditions required): The ACPE Dance Company gives students the opportunity to work with a range of choreographers and performers, while also representing ACPE at public events.

  • Alpha Group Program (based on academic results): This program provides academically high-achieving students with opportunities to come together in order to share ideas, projects and listen to guest speakers. Facilitating the enhancement of your academic skills, this program is perfect for ambitious students who want to get ahead.

  • Mentor Program (open to all students): If you're in your second or final year of study, then the Mentor Program is the perfect activity for you. Throughout this program you will get the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills while you assist first year students in their transition into tertiary studies at ACPE.

  • Peer Study Assistant Program (based on academic results): Developed and funded by the NRL as part of the ‘Graduates of League Program’, selected students will get the opportunity to assist NRL contract players in balancing their academic and professional sporting duties. Throughout this program students will also get the opportunity to demonstrate and practice their teaching skills.

  • Student Life and Social Sport (open to all students): Encompassing social programs that promote student integration and bonding, this program is perfect for students of all ages. These social programs include participation in: University Games, local basketball and oz-tag competitions, staff vs student sports matches and social functions such as welcome back parties and the ACPE Annual Awards Dinner.
