Are you ready for an adventure?

At ACPE, we understand that students must be provided with more than just a great education. As a result, we pride ourselves on the opportunities that are available to our students outside of the classroom. Focusing on delivering lasting memories and outstanding experiences, ACPE provides the perfect mix of study, social and cultural experiences.

In 2011, the first group of ambitious students participated in the ACPE Cultural Experience Program. Due to the resounding success of the inaugural project, the Cultural Experience Program is now an annual event on the ACPE calendar.

The Cultural Experience program takes place in November and sees a small group of students and staff from the College embark on a trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The group fundraises for months prior to the trip, raising much needed funds for the Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF).

The Cultural Experience Program takes place at CCF, where students get the opportunity to teach children (aged 1-19 years old) from 5 different locations around Phnom Penh. It is here where students spend time teaching children essential life skills such as first aid, swimming and general health and wellbeing. The focus is on developing fundamental skills, whilst providing the children with sport and activity experiences. Students also assist with the nightly food program at the CCF in which children from the community can come to the facility to get a warm meal, some milk and have a shower.

ACPE has received great support for this program and this would not have been possible if not for the kind donations from sponsors, friends and family. Through donations, ACPE is able to provide much needed sporting equipment to the children of the CCF with the money donated going directly to CCF. In 2012, this donation was over a massive $23,000!

We here at ACPE feel very strongly about our involvement in the CCF and are extremely proud of this cultural program. By allowing our students to travel to Cambodia and help make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate, we believe we're helping to make the world a better place.
