ACPE keeps it social!

Balance is the key to success not only when studying at ACPE but in life. Due to this, every student is encouraged to balance their academic work with participating in regular sporting and social activities.

Each of the degrees and diplomas available at ACPE are designed with this sense of equilibrium in mind, with the teaching and administrative staff reflecting this philosophy in their day-to-day interactions with students.

Represent at the University Games when you join the ACPE Pirates

The University Games offers students the opportunity to participate in competitive sport at a regional, national and international level. Participating in these events gives ACPE students an opportunity to represent the college in their chosen sport, while meeting new students over five or more days.

When you decide to join the ACPE Pirates, you will be able to compete in one of the many sporting events held at both the Eastern and Australian University Game events. The Eastern University Games consists of 3000 competitors from NSW and ACT (Tertiary Education Institutions); with the Australian University Games providing competitive events for 8000 competitors from Tertiary Education Institutions right around Australia.

If you'd like to get involved with University Games, please see the Student Services team.

Social Sport

At ACPE, college-based sport is an integral part of the student experience. For that reason, the Student Services department facilitates a number of social sport activities on campus and externally throughout the semester. Both the staff vs student games and the Social Sport Programs encourages students to engage in a healthy active lifestyle, whilst enjoying the social aspects of meeting new people and competing against their peers.

The Social Sport program also enables our students to participate in some of the biggest community events, such as the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and the City 2 Surf, among many more.

Social Activities

There is a lot going on at ACPE besides study! Getting involved in the social life of the college is a great way to meet like-minded students while having heaps of fun. In addition to O Week activities, students get the opportunity to participate in fundraising events, University Games, student BBQ's, harbour cruises, the annual awards dinner, welcome parties for new students and much more.

These events happen on and off campus to ensure that ACPE is not just a place to study, but is a place where students can grow, socialise and most of all have fun!

Volunteer Opportunities

At ACPE, we feel a special sense of pride towards students who assist within their community. Whether you are interested in health, dance, fitness or sports business, volunteering is an important component in any individuals' development. Students are encouraged to contribute to their community through volunteering, as ACPE recognises the benefit not only to the community but to the individual student. Want to know about volunteering opportunities in your local area?

The Student Services team partners with a number of local schools, sports and community organisations who seek volunteers for their events. Many of the industry opportunities that are presented to the College also involve paid work or internship opportunities, which can significantly add to students' career development and employment portfolio.
